Today I am going to share with you my best quick & easy homemade chicken noodle soup recipe. Now that the weather is cooling off and soup season is officially among us; my family is dying for me to make this soup. You don’t have to be sick in order to enjoy a warm bowl of chicken noodle soup This yummy soup recipe will satisfy your entire family. It’s hands down, oldest son’s favorite soup.
Often times we open a can and dump it into a pot to make chicken noodle soup that is thin and not filling. I too have been guilty of this. My homemade recipe is hearty and healthy. I enjoy making this soup for new mom’s or for families who are in need of a meal; it’s always a huge success. I like to serve it with a piece of yummy homemade wheat bread and a side salad. I’m sure that you are ready to get cooking so lets get started.
Pour 10 cups of water and chicken bouillon powder into a large soup pot.
Place chopped vegetables into the pot and bring it to a boil.
Add the frozen egg noodles and cook until tender
Once the noodles are tender, add the shredded chicken and simmer on low until done.
*Tip: shred a rotisserie chicken to save time and for extra flavor
10 C water
1/4 C heaping chicken bouillon powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
3 chopped celery sticks
3 peeled & chopped carrots
1/4 C diced onion
3 C frozen egg noodles
2 C shredded chicken
Pour the water, bouillon powder and other seasonings into a large soup pot. Add the chopped celery, carrots and onions; bring it to a boil. Once the water and vegetables are boiling, add the egg noodles. Reduce the heat and cook the noodles until they are tender. Add the shredded chicken and allow the soup to simmer for about 10 minutes stirring occasionally until it’s done.
