Over the weekend we had the best time exploring a new farm in GA. Because I was raised in GA I consider myself a GA peach. I just never realized that I could find a peach farm so close to the Atlanta area. Thanks to my mom’s desires to go peach picking we found the cutest family oriented farm about 30 miles outside of the city.
The boys had a blast! There is something so soothing about being out in nature that allows them to run ragged and stretch their wings. I love watching them be “boys.” They are very much in their element and express their freedom in the most memorable way.
I didn’t expect the trees to be so short. I could very easily reach the top with little effort. This was both a blessing and a curse. I didn’t have to lift them up which gave them their freedom and independence to pick freely. However, Axel kept picking and throwing the fruit while yelling “Ball! Ball!” That got old real quick but you gotta love toddler-hood.
We ventured to the back side of the orchard where no one was picking peaches. Listening to the wind in the trees, the pitter patter of tiny feet in the dirt and the quick snap of the ripe fruit being plucked from its branches was pure heaven! We all felt so relaxed and at ease.
These are some of our precious moments. Share your family farm moments with me in the comments below.
